This is a small, independent index of hotels in four categories: art, capsule, casino and ice. Nothing more, and deliberately so.

Why cards

Each hotel gets one record. It says where the property is, what makes it fit its category, and a few plain features worth knowing. Short records are easier to compare, and easier to keep accurate.

How entries are chosen

A hotel is listed when its category is the actual draw. For art hotels, that means design or a collection that shapes the stay. For capsule hotels, compact rooms and shared spaces. For casino hotels, a full hotel where gaming is one feature among many. For ice hotels, rooms made of ice.

We write from the properties' own public information and from long-established, widely known facts. We leave out prices, ratings and anything else that shifts week to week.

What we are not

We are not a travel agent or a booking platform. We do not take reservations, handle payments or accept money in exchange for a listing. Always confirm details directly with a hotel before you travel.
